We Appear to be Back UP

OK, so I am receiving reports the site is back.  The DNS information is SLOWLY propagating and I still don't get directed to the new server yet.

YMMV for the next hour plus.

  1. If I go to www.drivewesaid.com, I see a page describing the DwS concept and such, but no apparent way to actually do anything. Am I missing something?

  2. Oh, and as for DNS propogation, I've been told that it can take as much as 24 to 48 hours. Usually not that long (I've had it take as little as fifteen SECONDS along one route), but it can take a while.

  3. I'm now getting a Domain Default Page, not the main DWS page.

  4. From what I understand, the address we go to is now http://drivewesaid.com, is that correct? (And I assume there will be a forwarding page or something for the beta address until latecomers realize about the move?)

  5. But it's still completely down?

  6. Imagine me outside in the cold, in the dark, in the rain, pressing my face up against the glass door and pawing pitifully to be let in. Mewling in a squeaky little broken voice, too.

Er, I mean, I still haven't been able to get in. Am I the only one??

  8. Try forcing a refresh - hold the shift key while you press refresh on the page with the site description (http://drivewesaid.com)

  11. This is very strange - from home, I can get into the site and read the posts. From work? I get the site descriptor with the header that reads "this is a concept/this is a bracelet/this isn't no intervention".

No amount of refreshing of any sort gets me a login on my work machine. It's not a net nanny, because that would just prevent me from getting to the site at all.
